We then proceed to Besakih Temple, the largest, holiest, and most important spiritual complex in all of Bali. Located high on the slopes of Mount Agung, this vast complex consists of more than 80 separate temples with magnificent multi-tiered roofs, ancient stone carvings, and a deep spiritual atmosphere.
Known as the "Mother Temple", Besakih is the center of Balinese Hinduism and has been a place of worship for over 1,000 years.
